This is an introduction to spinning with a drop spindle.  The cost includes materials and a basic wooden drop spindle.  Class time is scheduled for 8:30-11:30 AM Saturday March with Sherry Murtle in Montgomery Hall.

The class with introduce you to drafting and spinning fiber into yarn.  Students will be introduced to raw wool prep, and the steps to making it into a yarn.  There will be various  tools  demonstrated to prep fiber, including the terms used in spinning. Fees include a basic wooden drop spindle and 2 ounces of easy-spinning US wool for you to get started on your journey. 


The class will help students feel more comfortable and confident in steps to making yarn.   The class will provide a better understanding of fibers, and the tools used for spinning yarn.  Are you ready to try spinning?
